Free Clothes Worksheets for Kindergarten – Read and Write
These free printable clothes worksheets help preschool and kindergarten children read and write the names of ten things we wear: T-shirt, shirt, hoodie, jacket, dress, skirt, jeans, socks, sneakers and cap. Clothes words are useful first reading words because a child gets dressed every morning and can go and find the real thing after finishing a page. The pages rotate through four tasks three times, so nobody does the same thing twelve pages in a row: circling the right word for a picture from three choices, drawing a line from each picture to its word, writing the word on a line with a word list at the top for help, and deciding where on the body each piece is worn by circling head, top, legs or feet. That last task adds a bit of sorting to the reading practice and pairs well with our body parts worksheets. Pictures that look alike to a young child, such as a T-shirt and a shirt or a jacket and a hoodie, are never put on the same page, so no question comes down to a coin flip. The answers are shuffled on every page and the last sheet is an answer key for all twelve pages. Just download, print, and get dressed!
