Free What Color Is It Worksheets for Kindergarten – Color Words
These free printable color worksheets help preschool and kindergarten children name the colors of real things, which is the step that comes after matching color swatches. Each page shows everyday pictures such as a tomato, a banana, a carrot, a tree, a pair of jeans, and a bunch of grapes, and children work out whether each one is red, yellow, orange, green, blue, or purple. The pages rotate between three tasks so children are not doing the same thing over and over: circling the color word from three choices, drawing a line from each picture to its color word, and writing the color on the line with the six words listed at the top for help. Only pictures with one clear main color are used, so a child is never asked to choose between the green leaf and the orange carrot underneath it. The first page shows the six colors with an example of each, and the final page is an answer key. Just download, print, and name the colors!
