Free Counting Worksheets 6-10 for Kindergarten – Count and Color – Number 1
This is one page from our free counting set for the numbers 6 to 10. Children count the pictures in each row and then colour in the same number of circles, which turns the answer into something they can see and check for themselves. Matching an amount to a number is the first real step in maths, and colouring the circles gives the hand something to do while the head does the counting. Encourage your child to touch each picture once while counting. Touching stops children counting the same picture twice.

How to use this worksheet
- Print the page on A4 paper.
- Count the pictures in the row, touching each one as you go.
- Colour in the same number of circles as the pictures you counted.
Slip the page into a plastic wallet and use a whiteboard pen if you want to reuse it.
