This is page 5 from our free count and colour worksheets for the numbers 1 to 5. Children count the pictures in the row, then colour in the same number of circles underneath. Because the circles stay on the page, a child who miscounts can go back and check without any help from an adult. Ask your child how many circles are left uncoloured. That is early subtraction, without the word.
How to use this worksheet
- Print the page on A4 paper.
- Count the pictures in the row, touching each one as you go.
- Colour in the same number of circles as the pictures you counted.
Let your child finish one page completely before moving on to the next.
