Deciding which of two numbers is bigger sounds simple, but it is the skill behind greater than and less than later on, and it shows whether a child really understands what a number means or has only learnt the counting song. Use fingers for the smaller numbers. Ten fingers make it easy to see which pile is bigger.
How to use this worksheet
- Print the page on A4 paper.
- Look at the two numbers in each row.
- Circle the number that is larger.
Print on ordinary paper. There is no need for card unless you want to use the sheet more than once.
